Tom Kowal - 1000th NHL Game

Referee Kowal will reach this milestone tonight in Calgary

Tonight at 7PM in Calgary AB, referee Tom Kowal will be working his 1,000th NHL Regular Season Game at the Scotiabank Saddledome Arena when the Nashville Predators visit the Calgary Falmes. The Vernon B.C. native was hired by the National Hockey League in 1998 under a minor leagues and made his official NHL debut on January 28, 2000 in Raleigh NC when the New Jersey Devils visited the Hurricanes.

Having the privilege of working this special assignment with Tom will be referee Brad Meier while linesmen Lonnie Cameron and Tony Sericolo will be working the lines.

The NHLOA would like to congratulate referee Tom Kowal on this outstanding achievement.
